Self-Care … Why do we need it???

Self-care. Time to recharge.

Self-care is about maintaining a good relationship with yourself. Self-care helps us to have positive feels towards ourselves which in turn improves our confidence and self-esteem too. It is said that self-care can make us more effective and have more energy.

Lets give ourselves permission to press PASUE for a few minutes. To reset, recentre, refocus ourselves. Self-care does not need to take a long time it can be short and sweet. Just enough to recentre you and make you feel refreshed.

When we practise self-care it reminds ourselves and others that we have needs to and they are important. That our self-care is a priority in which everyone will benefit from. Taking care of ourselves is our responsibility. It is up to us to make the time that we need to be the best version of ourselves. It is about making time for something that you enjoy, something that to your life.

Self-care is an important aspect of stress management. When we are feeling our best emotionally and physically we can handle anything that life throws at us.

Self-care requires us to really think about what you love to do. Through working out what inspires you and what you have a passion for helps you to understand yourself better. You never know what you might discover about yourself. A new passion or a long lost hobby… This new self-discovery might lead to big life decisions/changes. Lets find what feds our soul.

Through practicing self-care you are helping to prevent burnout or being overworked. Lets enjoy life. Self-care is about recharging our batteries, so we are able to keep going. We all need to recharge our batteries. You can’t work on empty, like your phone can’t work with no charge. Our battery life is just as important as our phones.

No one can tell you how to practice self-care. Self-care looks different for everyone. We all enjoy different things. We all have different passions. We are not all the same therefore self-care will not be the same for all.

By practicing regular self-care you are forming healthy habits and routines. It is keeping you on track. Self-care is helping you to build a life worth living.
